Our Craftsman Doors
The American Craftsman style was born out of the British Arts and Crafts movement which began in the late 1800s. The American style encouraged originality, simplicity of form, use of local materials, and handcrafted quality. Today you will find that our craftsman doors are all made with the same attention to detail that started the craftsman movement.
Doors by Decora’s craftsman doors are a fundamental part of our Craftsman Collection. These doors feature design elements found on many of the same doors that you will find on traditional craftsman homes.
You will find that many of these doors feature stained glass designs inspired from traditional craftsman designs. They can be simple doors or done on a grander scale, but they always embody elegance and clean lines. You can see a few of our favorite craftsman styles below or you can view All Craftsman Doors.
Design Elements of Craftsman Doors
We use many design elements in our doors so that they look like they just came off a vintage craftsman style home. Many of our craftsman styles feature True Divided Lights (TDL). Many of our customer love TDL doors because they have multiple small rectangular windows surrounded. Additionally, you can even add beveled edges to the windows for a more elegant feel.
You can also add stained glass windows to any of our craftsman doors. These designs can be simple containing just beveled glass designs, or intricate with colors added to the design. Our customers can choose between many designs that are inspired by the designs of Frank Lloyd Wright, or have one of our design experts design something special.
Many of these details are featured in the doors below, or you can view all of our Craftsman Doors.
