Pre-Shipment

We crate and ship all of our doors via common carrier (motor freight line) according to these shipping policies.  On some orders when more economical we may decide to deliver on one of our trucks.  On all orders that we are not installing there is a crating charge and all orders are shipped freight collect.

Shipping crate ready for shipment
Your quote should show the crating charge. Our employees will be glad to get a freight estimate for you if needed but you must realize that it is an estimate since these charges are based on size, weight, and location at the time of shipment. After the unit is crated and picked up by the freight line they determine the final weight and size and exact charges can be determined. On freight collect shipments the freight line will want payment for these charges when they deliver unless you have an account with them or have made previous arrangements. If having a check available at the delivery point presents a problem talk with us prior to our shipping and we will be glad to try and help you handle this detail.

After Shipment

Once the door arrives at the local terminal the freight line will call you to schedule a delivery appointment.  This is usually a delivery window.   All deliveries are “tail gate” delivery.  This means that you will need to have labor available to unload the door from the truck at delivery.  The crate can be opened on the truck to make the off load easier.

Pick-Up

Doors can also be picked up at our facility in Montgomery, Alabama.   Please let your salesman know if you intend to pick up your doors so we can have it ready when you arrive.   When picking up a door you will be responsible for any materials needed (rope, card board, blankets, straps, etc.).   please make sure the vehicle or trailer is of adequate size for your door.
