This Entry was Custom Designed to replace a cased opening between the living room and dining room in an existing home in Lake Forest, Illinois. The customer provided a tracing of the curve and we designed this unit to fit. It is unique in that the home owner wanted to be able to have the center pair of doors active and the flanking doors stationary or when entertaining be able to fold all four doors back. The unit consists of 4 – 10 Lite TDL (True Divided Lite) Doors and an Elliptical Transom constructed of Red Oak with a Golden Oak Stain. The flanking doors have flush bolts to hold them closed when they are not active. The glass in the doors is tempered Beveled Glass and in the transom Leaded Beveled Glass. We designed, built, finished, cut for and provided Baldwin Hardware for this unit. The pictures were kindly provided by our customer to show us how proud he was of this unit. He ordered the rest of his interior doors from us to match these doors. You can See Shop Drawings of this unit by downloading this PDF File.
