Glass Textures

Most manufacturers of Doors or Stained Glass Windows use the term "Leaded Glass" to refer to a glass panel that is made of a number of individual pieces of glass that have been assembled together with a metal (usually lead).  The individual pieces of glass could be Clear Annealed Glass (like a window pane), Clear Beveled Glass (glass having a beveled edge), Stained Glass (glass that has a color impregnated in the glass) or Clear Textured Glass.  Below we have pictured some of the many textures of glass that are available to be used in your glass.  While we show them all as clear many are available in stained glass (colored).

Spectrum Textured Glass Samples

We use Spectrum Glass in building Leaded Glass Panels.  Spectrum Glass can not be tempered but can be used where safety glass or impact resistant hurricane glass is required by laminating it.

 Pilkington Textured Glass Samples

While Pilkington Glass can be used in building Leaded Glass Panels it is generally more appropriate for use as single glass panes since the textures designs are larger.  Most Pilkington Glass can be tempered but can also be used where impact resistant or hurricane glass is required by laminating it.
