Country French Door Collection

Country French Exterior Wood Entry Door Style DbyD-2072

This pair of 36" X 96" Radius Top True Divided Lite Distressed Cypress Doors are installed on "The Beach Side" of the Gulf Shores Home of James Hammond.  The doors have Beveled Glass and Carved Lion Heads on both sides.  The Hardware is Baldwin with the Lifetime Brass Finish.  Pictured at the bottom of this page are 2 of our people finishing up the installation of 2 pair of 36" X 96" doors on the front side of the same home.  We also built Distressed Cypress Shutters for all the doors which helped this 6 Bedroom Beach Home survive Hurricane Katrina.

Special Note

We have done 2 Front Entries and other exterior doors as well as his guest house doors and numerous stained glass windows for James on his home in Selma, Alabama.  We did Gothic Arch Doors and windows for his farm house which was designed to match an antebellum Episcopal Church that was in Cahaba, Alabama (the first capitol of Alabama).  We re-framed and built and installed Stained Glass Windows in St. Paul's Episcopal  Church in Selma as well as most of the interior doors.  James not only headed up the committee for this project but raised the money and designed the windows and selected the glass colors.  These windows have painted Crests with Religious Symbols in them.  We are currently building a Entry Door and 3 Stained Glass Windows for his "Football Home" in Auburn, Alabama with the Auburn Crest.

James is active in the Cahaba Historical Association and is the "Cannoneer" for the Confederate Reenactment Group. (See picture below)  James Hammond is the one standing on the left.

Our management staff started from the ground up.  Pictured above on the third floor is Charles E. (J.K.) Jones, V.P. of Marketing.  J.K. started working in the family business at the age of 13 building stained glass.  He worked through high school and college part time and weekends and came in the business full time after graduating from Troy University in Accounting.  He has done the accounting, payroll, worked as an installer, stained and finished doors, is our expert on door hardware and done a little of everything else.

Pictured on the second floor is Bill Poole, V.P. and General Manager.  Bill was in school with J.K. and started shortly after graduation.  Bill also started out building stained glass and has done it "all" also.  Bill plans and oversees production and scheduling.  He is our "detail" person.  Bill's wife Susan was an experienced furniture re-finisher.  She was hired in the finishing department and proved shortly that she could and would take on any task.  She runs the office and oversees the finishing department and showroom and internet sales.
